Post Officer is an NPC responsible for the in-game mail system, which allows players to send and receive messages, items, and currency between characters.

The mail system is an important communication and trading tool, enabling players to exchange items even when they are not online at the same time.

Location

Post Officer NPCs can be found in most villages and major towns across the game world.

Common locations include:

  • Sky Village

  • Stone City

  • Sand Village

These NPCs are usually located near central areas of the village for easy access.

Mail System Overview

The Post Officer provides access to the Talisman Online Mail System, which allows players to:

  • Send text messages to other players

  • Send items as attachments

  • Send in-game currency

  • Receive auction rewards or system items through mail

Players can open the mail interface by interacting with the Post Officer and selecting the Mail option.

Mail Types

There are two main types of mail in the system.

Text Mail

Text mail contains only written messages and is mainly used for communication between players.

Players can send messages to friends, guild members, or other players.

Item Mail

Item mail allows players to attach items or currency to a message.

This system is often used for:

  • Trading items between characters

  • Sending gifts to friends

  • Delivering purchased items from the auction system

Attachments are automatically transferred to the player's inventory or item box when claimed.

Mail Interface

When the mail interface is opened, players will see two main sections:

Inbox

The Inbox contains all received mail.

Here players can:

  • Read messages from other players

  • Claim attached items or currency

  • Check system notifications

  • Receive auction rewards

If a mail contains attachments, players must claim the attachment before deleting the mail. Otherwise, the attached item will be permanently lost.

Unread mail is also indicated by a notification icon near the minimap.

Outbox

The Outbox is used to send mail to other players.

Players can:

  • Write a message

  • Attach items

  • Attach in-game currency

  • Send the mail to another character

To send a mail with an item, players simply drag the item into the attachment slot.

Sending mail requires a small fee of 10 copper.

Mail Expiration

Mail stored in the mailbox is not permanent.

  • Unread mail can remain in the mailbox for up to 30 days.

  • Read mail remains for up to 7 days before being automatically deleted.

Players should regularly check their mailbox to avoid losing important items or messages.

Role in the Game Economy

The Post Officer plays an important role in the player economy and communication system.

Players commonly use the mail system to:

  • Trade items safely

  • Send equipment between characters

  • Deliver gifts or rewards

  • Receive auction house purchases

Because of its reliability and ease of use, the mail system is one of the most commonly used features for player interaction in Talisman Online.
